STARCHAIR 3000 HISTORY
In 1608, Dutch spectacle-maker Hans Lippershey patented the
invention of binoculars and since then, millions of binocular owners
world - wide have often used them to gain awe -inspiring views of
our night sky universe. Over the centuries, many clamps and camera
tripods have been utilized to keep binoculars rigid and steady, but
unfortunately, looking upward brought considerable physical
discomfort. Neck strain and muscular fatigue robbed the inspired
viewers from fully utilizing, assessing, and appreciating the
unequalled stereoscopic images today's large high quality binoculars
can bring.
This latest invention, the "Star Chair TM 3000" is the result of
9 previous prototypes, and culminates in a quality observing device
that enables any viewer unlimited luxury and comfort in “real –
time” astronomy observations, at the simple press of a button. In
particular, it meets all the desired requirements that even the most
sophisticated and critical observer would demand.
The Eighth prototype, designed and made in 1998, was mass -
produced and the short “run” was all sold out. That model was called
Starchair 2000.
A “New Improved Model” was constructed and extensively “Field
Tested”. This became the Starchair TM 3000 model and carries many
improvements over the pre -millennium model - 2000. That old model
is no longer in production and, no longer available.
In one complete package, the "Star Chair TM 3000" combines all
the advantages of strength - safety - rigidity - variable speed
motorization - portability - all season weatherproofing - user
friendly computerized interface and many other features.
The ability alone, to load this device into a standard car, drive
to a star party or camping spot and scan the universe visually and
electronically in full “ride – on” recline comfort - is a space
voyage you would never forget! Best of all – you can repeat it the
next time and discover even more.
Powered by a safe and convenient 12volt dc car-battery, the "Star
Chair TM 3000", becomes a highly desirable product. Especially for
“stereoscopic” observers scanning high dark skies for long extended
periods in a “sky rover” mode. Most observers “wish” they could.
This latest model 3000 provides it for you. |
