FAQ: Does the Starchair fully recline, so deep sky objects can be observed at the point directly overhead and not cause neck strain?

A: Yes - Starchair is the only commercially available chair that does a full - 90 degree recline. Objects from Horizon to Zenith can be reached in comfort. A “dentist chair” costing $60,000 cannot even come close to this. Starchair is also very light – weight and portable.

FAQ: Is the Starchair easy to lift? - How heavy?

A: Starchair has been strictly designed so one person can easily dismantle it into 3 basic sections and reassemble in 3 minutes. One person can easily fit the Starchair into any small car / sedan and drive to any deep sky site and set-up quickly. A fully assembled Starchair weight is only 38kg. The widest part is the “Main Base Ring Section” and is designed to be carried through all standard doorways, therefore Starchair can be conveniently carried inside any house.

FAQ: I am a big observer - i.e. 19 stone. Can Starchair lift my weight?

A: Yes - Starchair is made of quality laser cut aluminium and steel throughout and will easily handle 3 times that weight and still perform perfectly!

FAQ: I would like to fit very large 120mm binoculars to Starchair TM 3000. Can Starchair carry this large size?

A: Yes - Starchair TM 3000 model has been designed and extensively field tested with the world’s largest commercially available 150mm Fujinon binoculars and are now proud to report " Steady" views for a portable “ride on” 150mm binocular mount!

150mm Fujinons are 2 x 6 inch lenses and weigh 42lbs!

FAQ: I want to buy a good, deep sky telescope but will still cost US$3,000 or more! Can Starchair offer better sky observing for my hard earned money?

A: I truly believe so. Firstly - Stereo binocular - views offer far more satisfaction than “mono – eyeball” - telescope views.

Larger binoculars increase that satisfaction.

Telescopes offer only “limited comfort” when viewing, and require many difficult contortions of the body/viewer to "see" the desired deep sky object(s) for any more than about 20 seconds. This problem has always been a "real time" observing problem. Some objects are quite easy to observe, but most are a real "pain in the neck" to observe for an extended time. Starchair overcomes this problem by offering full stereo support views to all points of the observable Celestial Dome in absolute comfort for extended hours of viewing time. It is like viewing out of a "spacecraft porthole" and can "cruise" in variable speed via a simple handheld joystick.

Starchair can provide the ultimate “chair” ride, but what binoculars you attach to Starchair is the riders choice.

The actual optical binoculars you decide to attach to Starchair is your own personal choice. The “fitting(s)” to Starchair of most optical binoculars are successful and already designed, because of our on – going R+D Section.

FAQ: Why should I purchase your Starchair when I can buy a simple refractor telescope to look at “Jupiter”?

A: If you are a “novice / beginner observer”, and you wish to spend no more than $100 for a “view” of Jupiter, then Starchair is not ready for you.

Starchair is designed for “cruise ride-on control” to see unprecedented stereo binocular vistas of the Night Sky. Scans, in “Real Time” of the night sky in stereo comfort.

A: US$6,950.00 + (shipping = approx only 4% average world wide).

FAQ: If I decide to “buy” the Starchair TM 3000 model, and I send your company the required dollars into your bank account, can I be assured the “funds” I send is safe and a receipt sent?

A: Yes. We are now 12 years on-line purchase regulated and we use a Commonwealth of Australia Bank Account, that is Government assured for export. This means Starchair is safe, as well as the fact we are a Registered Australian Business and comply with strict ABO registration compliancies!! Thus, any funds sent will respond with a “receipt / record” sent to you for your bank to verify.

This “receipt” is a “bank - to bank wire” - verification and “STARCHAIR ENGINEERING” would always confirm this with your bank account, plus our “sent receipt” on email attachment as well as a posted file.

FAQ: How Long will I have to “wait” once I send the required funds?

A: Depending on your “shipped destination.” If you are in USA the shipping time is only around 5 weeks. If you are in Europe, the shipping time could be 6 weeks.

FAQ: What is your full user guarantee?

A: Starchair 3000 TM model will support a “full 24 month” user guarantee. Should last a lifetime.
